Creator of all, you speak life into being and call us into holy community. Open our ears to listen, enliven our curiosity to learn, and hasten our courage to respond. Teach us how to listen and love as you do, joining with all of creation as we proclaim and embody your Good News in all that we undertake. May the Spirit’s breath empower us to live these words we pray, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

12/31/2023 – The First Sunday after Christmas, The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist: We pray for the mission and ministry of St. John’s Cathedral.
1/7/2024 – The First Sunday after Epiphany, Baptism of our Lord Prayers for Peace in the Diocese of Spokane, and the nation. We also give thanks for the birthday of The Rev. Sandra Robison (1/10).
1/14/2024 – Second Sunday after Epiphany, Non Parochial and Specially Licensed Clergy: We give thanks for their variety of gifts and their service to Almighty God in this diocese. We give thanks for the birthday of The Revs. Linda Mayer (1/14), and Marilyn Wilder (1/19).
1/21/2024 – Third Sunday after Epiphany, St. Timothy’s, Yakima: We pray for the mission and ministry of St. Timothy’s, Yakima. We also give thanks for the birthday of The Rev. Anne Barton (1/25).
1/28/2024 – Fourth Sunday after Epiphany, St. Peter’s, Pomeroy: We pray for the mission and ministry of St. Peter’s, Pomeroy. We also give thanks for the birthday of The Revs. Kristi Philip (2/2) and Ethan Bergman (2/3).
2/04/2024 – Fifth Sunday after Epiphany, Clergy Retreat (2/5-8): We give thanks for the variety of gifts within our Diocesan Clergy. Pray that the Clergy retreat is a time of refreshment and renewal. We also give thanks for the birthdays of The Revs. Ellen Loposer (2/10), Vicki Johnson (2/10).
2/11/2024 – The Last Sunday after Epiphany, Episcopal Relief & Development: We pray that they may have resources to respond to the pain of the world. We also give thanks for the birthdays of The Revs. Dwight Brown (2/12), Jody Lediard (2/15)
2/18/2024 – First Sunday in Lent, Youth and Children’s Ministry: We are blessed by their faith and ministry and we pray for their continued growth and witness to Jesus Christ within our community. We also give thanks for the birthdays of The Revs. David Gortner (2/18) and Steven Woolley (2/24).
2/25/2024 – Second Sunday in Lent, Diocesan Women: We give thanks for all women in their many and diverse ministries in the church and the wider world. And for the diocesan women gathered on retreat this weekend. We also give thanks for the birthday of The Revs. Patton Boyle (3/3) and Fred Jessett(3/4).
3/3/2024 – Third Sunday in Lent, For the work of becoming a beloved community: We pray for the difficult but important mission and ministry of creating a just and loving world. We also give
thanks for the birthdays of The Rev. Kathy Lamphere (3/7).
3/10/2024 – Fourth Sunday in Lent, The continued growth of our congregations: Pray that God will guide the leadership of the church, lay and clergy, in making wise decisions that will contribute to the development of our congregations. Pray that they will have clarity of vision and the wisdom to make effective plans and strategies to reach out to the community and impact lives for Christ. 3/17/2024 – Fifth Sunday in Lent, For the stewardship of our finances, that our giving may bless this world: We pray that we may be generous in spirit and heart as well in resource, so that we might transform the world through our giving and transform ourselves through the understanding of God’s generosity. We give thanks for the birthday of Armand Larive (3/19).
