There is so much to celebrate at Camp Cross!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we are already making meaningful progress toward furnishing the 16 brand-new retreat cabins that will welcome campers and guests for years to come. If you recently received our mailer—thank you for taking the time to read, pray, and consider how you might be part of this special moment. And to those who have already given: thank you. Your generosity is already shaping spaces where lives will be touched, faith will deepen, and community will grow.
These new cabins are designed with care and intention—featuring durable, American-made solid wood furniture, comfortable beds, air-conditioning and heat, and private bathrooms. They will be places of true rest and restoration for youth, families, and retreat groups alike.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 per cabin, building not only beautiful, welcoming spaces but also a sustainable future through a long-term maintenance reserve. We’re aiming to reach 50% of our $160,000 goal by mid-July, when the retreat center officially opens—and thanks to early momentum, we’re already on our way! We’re especially grateful to Bishop Gretchen and her mom for sponsoring the very first cabin and helping lead the way.
As you scroll through the photos below, we invite you to celebrate with us—these cabins are becoming real, tangible places of belonging and renewal.
There’s still time to be part of this story. Congregations and individuals are invited to “adopt” a cabin, helping furnish these sacred spaces where people will gather, rest, and encounter God. Donors are also invited to suggest cabin names in the tradition of saints, offering a meaningful and personal connection to this shared ministry.
